Day Rehabilitation Outpatient ProgramThe Marianjoy Day Rehabilitation Outpatient Program provides physical rehabilitation by an interdisciplinary team in an outpatient setting. The program is designed for patients with impairments from traumatic brain injury or disease, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, or other neurological disorders. Day Rehabilitation patients receive integrative treatment plans including more than one type of therapy, as well as nursing and case management, all under the direction of a Marianjoy physician. The Day Rehabilitation Program also features areas that simulate a normal home environment enabling patients to experiment with adaptive ways of performing functional daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and personal hygiene. We serve the needs of individuals who require integrative treatment for more than one therapy. In addition, nurse and case management services are provided. The program addresses:
Program GoalsTherapies that are available through the Marianjoy Day Rehabilitation Outpatient Program include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychological services. All therapies are completed under the direction of a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Programs are located at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton and at the Oakbrook Terrace outpatient facility.
